The Innumerable Advantages of Wood Pellets

Let’s say YES to an eco-friendly world. We all know that the environment is in danger. That’s because we are constantly polluting the environment. These are a newer form of biomass fuel. There are innumerable benefits of investing in these wood pellets.

According to dkbræ, buying wood pellets means:

  • You can heat up the house swiftly without spending a fortune.
  • You can easily store these in the corner.
  • It is CO2-neutral! This basically means it does not pose a threat to the environment.

The majority of people use gas, coal, oil, and firewood. For starters, there is a dearth of oil in the world. Additionally, it costs a lot and easily burns a hole in the pocket. When you conduct research, the findings will be that oil is getting more expensive. That is precisely why people are opting for electric vehicles or golf carts. Why? It is more environment-friendly and cheaper.

Traditionally, everyone used firewood to heat up the house, but it damages the environment. Wood smoke is not good for the outer world. It is damaging for the environment in many ways! It causes acid rain, smog, and endless problems.

The BEST Alternative

Whenever you burn firewood or coal, people around you may have breathing difficulties. Now that is not the case with wood pellets.

You must know that wood pellets are made from wood shavings and sawdust. As compared to natural gas or fossil fuel, wood pellets are more reasonable.

Firstly, you save money because wood pellets are cheaper. Secondly, it does not damage the environment. Thirdly, you are able to enjoy the heat in your home. A conventional wood stove does not work for days, but once you add the wood pellets, it can last for about 2-3 days.

What’s more? You do not have to remove the ash on a daily basis. Just remove it once in a week.

The best part of using wood pellets is that it reduces CO2 by at least 95%. Why shouldn’t the prospective buyers invest in wood pellets? This is the future of the world! Many more people will start using wood pellets.

How To Find Good Wood Pellets?

The majority of the novices want to know what good wood pellets are. There will be little water in them (as low as it can possibly be). In Denmark, you will find wood pellets with 7% water content. You must also check the ash content in the wood pellet.

Once you invest in these, store them in a dry and cool place.

There are some people who make wood pellets at home by gathering raw materials such as sawdust, wood chips, and logs. You can combine sawdust and wood shavings to make the wood pellets. However, it is cheap to buy wood pellets from the market.

As per https://www.dkbræ, one should get pellets that give out the least ash and burn longer.

Make sure you are buying the best because it is an investment! Skip the fuels, firewood, and gases and embrace wood pellets to heat up your home.

How To Incorporate Plants Inside Your Home For The Best Effect

Home is where the heart is, so it’s natural for us to want to make it look as best we can in order to make it the most welcoming place for us. After all, this is where we nurture ourselves and the ones we love.

However, when it comes to home improvement, improving the appearance of our homes can be a pain, especially when it comes to design choices. However, if you’re a green thumb, here are a few good tips on how to incorporate plants inside your home for the best effect.

The Basics: Appearances Matter

Don't plant boringly
Don’t plant boringly

This might seem a bit of an odd option, but it’s true when we say that appearances matter. Incorporating plants inside your home works best the way certain clothes are fit for certain body types. We need to assess the kind of home structure you have and the way you want to modify your home in order to accommodate your intended plant design.

  • Plants work with a minimalist setting. If your room is scarcely filled with furniture, a plant can give a much-needed emphasis on the room in question. This works with big living rooms or living spaces such as dining rooms.
  • Plants work within monochromatic color schemes. This means rooms with a predominant color, especially warm ones, can use the help of a plant as a green spotlight tends to catch the attention of others.
  • Plants that are big in nature work best when placed on corners or beside the wall. Plants that need a lot of air and sunlight would naturally have to be placed near windows and sources of ventilation.
  • Plants also add good natural lighting to the house. It’s not a light source, but its colors can add a warmer glow to the room if sunlight hits it at just the right angle.

Going Green: Using Plants to Decorate Homes

Who said plants should only be used outside? Indoor plants are great to fill out a lot of empty corners, especially if those parts of the room lack any substantial indoor decoration.

Sometimes, there are corners at home that obstruct other pieces of furniture, so instead of getting a plain decoration for it, go for a plant instead.

  • If you have very few opportunities to fill your home with decor because of a lack of space, then perhaps you may want to consider hanging plants. This allows you to utilize your space more efficiently, and this way you don’t have to fill out all the spaces in your room with it.
  • Along the same vein, a plant wall might be up your alley. The design is a bit grand, but it’s perfect if you have a wall at home or even a pathway. The right kind of indoor plants can thrive on a plant wall, and it can add the kind of “green” you’re looking for.
  • Plants can emphasize or divide a room. For instance, you can use a plant as a centerpiece of a room so that everything else can “revolve” around it. If you’re aiming for a more minimalist design, the less decor there is around the plant centerpiece, the more sophisticated your home will look. Likewise, you can also use plants as dividers to add some sort of “division” in your home. This can create the illusion of space as well.
  • What if you allot space at home for plants? Some indoor designers love the idea of gardening indoors with a zen garden or even a sunroom. If you want to try this, make sure your indoor plants such as bamboo trees or fern trees have enough water and sunlight to hit them at just the right angle for growth. For sunrooms, try to accommodate your plants with a translucent roof or even translucent walls. If you’re not into indoor gardening, perhaps plants as decorations in your hallways might help add that spice as well.

Indoor Plants: The Benefits

If you’re a certified green thumb, you know that plants aren’t just healthy, but they’re great for decoration. They do have considerable benefits when placed outside, especially when it comes to improving the outdoor appearance of the home. So it’s only natural for us to think of making it work on the inside. Judging from how some home improvement enthusiasts do it, it is possible!

If you’re a bit hesitant, consider:

  • Plants still work as air purifiers inside the home. It’s much better to have plants at home because of this perk, as plants now allow air around the home to be cleaner for everyone in it. This is useful and helpful for those who want a dash of clean air they can’t easily get outside.
  • Plants are therapeutic when used properly. They add a dash of aesthetic that can be relaxing, which is good for those who are stressed from work and studying.
  • Plants encourage care and responsibility. This can be a bit of a downer for some, and there are plants that are low-maintenance. However, plants do encourage a positive atmosphere of actively caring and making sure we always work towards achieving our goals – in this case, making sure plants fulfill their roles in the house only if we care for them enough. This can be good practice for responsibility.

Remember: Maintenance Is Key

Remember: Maintenance Is Key for indoor plants
Remember: Maintenance Is Key for indoor plants

If there’s anything the methods above show, it’s that plants can easily be incorporated into both indoor and outdoor settings given the right planning. However, using plants inside the home can add that extra twist you may have been looking for to make your house livelier. Remember, though, that we can’t just put plants haphazardly in areas we tend to forget. If we want to incorporate plants inside our homes, we need to make sure they’re maintained.

  • Research on the kind of plants you want to use and see if they’re native to your area. If yes, try to assess the potential living conditions the plant will have in your home. If not, is there any way you can modify your home to accommodate the needs of the plant?
  • Check if the plants you want are available for purchase in your area. If it has to be shipped, how long would it take, and can you use that time to plan the rest of your home setup?
  • In speaking of the home setup, check your budget to check if you can accommodate some adjustments the plants may need in order to fit in your home. These include extra pots and vases, extra modifications to structural parts of the house like the roof, the walls, and the ceiling if need be.

The best ways on how to incorporate plants inside your home for the best effect might be under your nose after all, and it takes a while to plant (no pun intended) a creative seed into your head and let it work your green thumb magic. However, if there’s anything these methods show, it’s that having plants around the home is not just aesthetic, but it’s eco-friendly and therapeutic as well.

The benefits of plants, if combined with good planning, can help make the home a more enjoyable place to be. Our home will really be where the heart is, as it’s going to be just as extra a bit as relaxing as we thought it’d be.

10 Ways For Improving The Privacy Of Your Home With Fences

Privacy is a major issue online nowadays and we have to protect our privacy online but we should also protect our privacy at home and the best way to do that is by putting up good quality fencing. Not only will fencing your home give you more privacy but it also adds beauty to your home. Here are the 10 ways to improve your privacy at home with fencing.

Fences Around the Yard

1. Fencing your home cuts off the cut-through. This means people won’t end up walking through your yard which usually happens to homes without yards as people don’t know where sidewalks or roadways end and where your yard begins.

2. Make your yard bigger for young kids. Children like to play in the yard and when you fenced your home you are making your yard safe for children to have a great time playing without you having to worry if they end up wandering to the roadway or having some stranger get in.

3. Buffer zone. You wouldn’t want to have some stranger walking by near your window, for sure, and having good quality fencing makes sure they stay just where they are allowed and not be in places that could cause you inconvenience. Your space is yours.

4. Enjoy your yard’s privacy with fencing. When your home is fenced you can enjoy your privacy whether you want to go sunbathing or you want to enjoy a family activity outdoors. People won’t have the chance to stare because they’re blocked off.

5. For your home’s security. With good quality fencing with security in mind for its design, it helps keep you and your family secure as it discourages people with bad intentions from targeting your home for whatever they have in mind.

6. Less noise. With fencing, the sound of outdoor noise from your neighbors and their power tools are deflected, but not completely of course, so you won’t hear the same sound intensity as without the fence.

7. It’s a requirement for homes with outdoor pools. When you plan on having an outdoor pool, fencing is required to avoid other people from going to your backyard and also to avoid any accidents, particularly with children who may find their way to your pool.

8. Fencing will make your home look more beautiful.

10. Family pets are much safer with fenced homes. Pets love to play outdoors too but they surely wouldn’t want to end up as roadkill.

11. and lastly it will give you a sense of security and it will keep the yard in check as well.

Also, keep in mind that your windows play a vital role in your privacy.

How to Make a Glass Shelves at Home

Being better and trying for more beautiful things create a sense of life, motivation and in fact the sign of maturity. After one’s own looks the next thing is the style of living. Interior designing or home decoration is as much old as the human itself. In the discussion of home décor glass and mirror products never let themselves put behind.

From the last few decades, glass products have become more popular due to the unique quality of glass products. Who can beat glass when it came to creating more widely and fresh looks? Other than decorations glass is the best option for storage. Glass products used for storage include glass tables, glass cabinets, glass shelves, and many more.

How to Make a Glass Shelves at Home
How to Make Glass Shelves at Home

Do you remember any house without glass shelves? The answer is no. Because glass shelves are the most versatile products in order to add storage without creating an extra mess. If you are looking to add shelves to your home or office let me tell you some important points before you buy the actual shelf.

Glass shelves are widely used over wooden or any other material due to many reasons like they happily fit almost every décor style and show off the stored object in an unrestricted way.

Before you order your product ask some question to yourself first. What will be placed on the shelf? Do remember for heavy material book shelving should never be used. How often will you access the stuff placed on the shelf? Who is more likely to access the shelf? Are you going to place crockery or books regularly accessible? Who is going to use the stuff actually placed on the shelf?

Once you have answers to all these questions now consider some more points regarding the selecting of the best place for the shelf.

In a living room, glass shelves are used to display stuff. Place your favorite art piece on it and let it centralized the part of the room. To use glass shelves for the living room you must pay extra attention to the support for the shelf. If you are going to place heavy stuff on it use load-proof glass, like the tempered glass is necessary. It’s also necessary to place the shelf where it makes sense and does not disturb other furniture.

Bedrooms are the best option for glass shelves, place your favorite photographs on shelves, and can be used to display other beautiful objects. Make a shelf to place your most frequently used objects to ensure to take them with you every time.

Use glass shelves to complement your glassware in the kitchen. In this way, you can not only make your kitchen modern but also add an airy sense to it. It’s necessary to use toughened to support the weight of glassware and crockery.

In a smaller bathroom glass shelves and cabinets can increase the sense of space. This small effort can add style to your bathroom easily.

Glass shelves can also be used for hallways but make sure they properly fit the space and must not cause any unwanted conditions.

Once the place of the shelf is decided let’s make our own homemade glass shelf.

The things we will be using are:

  • A toughened glass also called tempered glass
  • Straightedges
  • Anchors
  • Drywall
  • Level
  • Screws
  • Cutting oil
  • Measuring tape
  • Brackets
  • Stud finder
  • Gloves
  • A cloth
  • Drill
  • Glass cutter
  • Tapper

Step 1: Plan The Shelf

Plan the shelf
Plan the shelf

We have almost planned our shelf earlier. After selecting the appropriate place for the shelf plan the type of glass we are going to use for the shelf for that particular place. As I mentioned above we are using tempered glass for our shelf. Now decide the shape of shelf, shapes of shelves available in the market are countless. You may end up choosing a rectangle glass shelf, oval, or floating glass shelf.

Step 2: Take the measurement

Take measurement
Take measurement

Throughout the whole process taking the exact measurements is most crucial. Take the measurements of the place to write down each and every point clearly. Use a measuring tape to mark exact positions where to exactly place the shelf. If you missed any point to measure you may end up with the worst design.

Step 3: Cut the glass for the shelf

Cut the glass for shelf
Cut the glass for the shelf

Now it’s time to cut the glass to make the self. If working with glass ever threatens you, you can order a custom-cut glass according to your measurements. But if you are ready to cut the glass by yourself make sure to follow the necessary instructions.

To start the process find a place large enough to place the glass. Now mark the glass according to the measurement we took earlier with the glass marker. Now place straightedges according to the measurements and cut the glass with a glass cutter. You may use duct tape to mark the positions of glass and then use a wall lubricated glass cuter to mark the edges. Then place the glass on a table and snap the part of glass you marked unnecessary.

Step 4: Install glass holder or shelf brackets

Install glass holder or shelf brackets
Install glass holder or shelf brackets

We are defiantly going to hang our shelf on a holder or specially design shelf brackets. These brackets are easily available at home improvement stores or glass specialized stores.

Different types of brackets are used to hang the shelves. Two common types are mentioned below.

  • Fixed Brackets- These are conventional brackets that support the shelves and allow a greater load to be placed on the shelf supported by them
  • Floating Brackets – These are brackets floating against the wall. In fact, they are attached to the wall supporting shelves directly. Many people think they are not safe to use but the fact is it just requires carefully selected fixing to work properly.

Fixing brackets to the wall may seem painful or unsecured but it can be made secure by paying little attention to the instruction. First of all, we need to select the proper type of nails to be used for the shelf then select anchors according to the structure of your wall. If your walls are drywall then metal anchors will be better than plastic anchors.

When drilling holes for the glass shelf some people do not consider of exact measurements necessary. Drilling holes without analysis and proper marking can make the process complex and painful. When marking the positions try covering the place with tape then mark the tape and drill holes.

In order to level the points marked by you for the holes, I will recommend using a laser level. If you don’t have the laser level borrow it and use it to eliminate the overhead of conventional levels.

And the final point is always triple-check the weight and installation instructions before started to work on the product.

Now come back to our point, we need to drill holes into the wall to fix the brackets. If you have drywall then use a stud finder to find the studs. After that drill pilot holes and place anchors. If they don’t best fit the holes use some hard material like hummer to push them inside. Once anchors are fixed into the wall screw the shelf brackets into it.

Step 5: Install the shelf

 Install the shelf

When you are satisfied about brackets are securely fit into the holes place the glass we cut for our shelf. Triple check, did everything worked according to the plan? If yes, Wow, your beautiful glass shelf is ready to be decorated.

Disc Gold – 10 Best Outdoor Games for Family

Disc golf is one very interesting game. It is actually a combination of traditional golf and Frisbee. It is a great activity you can play both in the park and in your backyard. It is called disc golf because the main goal is the same as in golf. You have to bring the object in the hole as few tries as possible. Just like the golf ball and the hole.

But, the main difference is that you don’t need a golf club or a ball. What you need is a flying disc or a Frisbee. Your main goal is to throw a Frisbee in an elevated metal basket the best way you can. But, I must warn you, it is not as easy as it sounds!

Corntoss - 10 Best Outdoor Games for Family
Corntoss – 10 Best Outdoor Games for Family

Cornhole is a great game you can actually DIY at home. It is a great bean bag toss game and you don’t need much material for it. It is mainly made from one – wood. Make two open boxes with one round hole on the top of the box, just like on the picture. Elevate one end of each box so that the box leans on one side and color it the way you like it. Let the color dry and you are done.

Now, all you need are bean bags you can toss in the hole. You can use a hard fabric so it can last a long time and fill it with whatever you like. It can be beans, beads, absolutely anything. The only thing you have to do now is to toss the bean bag in the hole of the box from a distance.

Badminton is a must-have game at every family gathering ever. For the game, you need two racquets for badminton and a special ball called the shuttlecock. But, when you are playing badminton at a family gathering, it doesn’t really matter what kind of a shuttlecock you use, as long as you have fun, right?

Horseshoes - 10 Best Outdoor Games for Family

Horseshoes are pretty similar to the disc golf game because you will need precision in throwing objects. You can also have a DIY project for the game because it is extremely simple to make. For the game, you will need a stick and horseshoes. You don’t have to use horseshoes if you don’t have any, but you can use any modern object which resembles a horseshoe. You can make a bean bag in a shape of a horseshoe. A wooden horseshoe is also a great replacement when you can’t find the real one.

Spike ball

Spikeball – 10 Best Outdoor Games for Family

Spike ball is a serious game that will keep your adrenaline levels high. It is a simple game with just one rule – don’t drop the ball. It consists of one yellow ball and a circular bouncing net. It is made for 4 players who are playing 2 against 2. The game starts when the first team bounces the ball from the net to the other team. The second team has to make 3 throws between them and then return the ball to the first team, by bouncing it off the net. There are no fields, no boundaries so are prepared to run, jump and throw yourself to save the ball.

Tin can bowling

Tin Can Bowling – 10 Best Outdoor Games for Family

One of the best DIY bowling versions is definitely tin can bowling. It is the best because you really don’t need much for it. All you need is backyard, tin cans, and a ball strong enough to hit the cans. What I like the most about this game is the fact that you are recycling! Using the tin cans for a game is a great idea, but you have to clean them properly for this game to work.

When the cans are cleaned you will have to color them and you know that color peels off of the dirty surface. So, when you clean the tin cans, give each family member one or two cans and let the coloring begin! When the cans are dry, prepare the backyard for some bowling!

Freeze tag & shadow tag

Playing tag is always a lot of fun, but why don’t you suggest a little upgrade for the game? A freeze tag is just like the regular tag, but the person who is chasing others is freezing them! That means when you are frozen you can’t move and someone has to touch you to unfreeze you so you can keep on running!

Another “upgraded” version is shadow tag. That game is extremely interesting because the one who chases doesn’t chase you, he chases your shadow! That is right, you have to pay a close attention to your shadow. This game reminds me a little bit of Peter Pan and his shadow.

Three-legged race

I believe that the famous three-legged race is a great game for family gatherings because you have to work like a team to win this race. It is a great way to strengthen the bond between you and your partner while you have so much fun. The basic rule of this race is to win the race while you and your partner have one leg tied together. That means between you two there would be 4 hands, 2 heads but 3 legs. It is not as easy as it sounds J

Flag football

American football is a big part of America and when people aren’t watching it, they are playing it. Ok, I don’t mean you have to play the real deal, but a less intense game like the flag football will work like a charm. Just, make sure that you divide the teams fairly or it won’t be fun. Also, give a task for all those who can’t or don’t feel like playing. Yes, I am talking about cheerleading and water boy roles. Those are pretty important roles!

Capture the flag

Since I am already mentioning the flags, there is another game for big family gatherings. Capture the flag is an intense game that will keep your adrenaline levels high. You need two teams for this game and the goal is to find the flag of the other team. Now, the rules actually depend on the situation. If you decide to hide the flag, you have to set few rules (not to hide it in some hole – it has to be in a visible place…)

Each of these 10 games is a great activity for you and your entire family.  For some, you don’t need much and for some equipment is welcome, but they all have one thing in common and that is fresh air, great time, and soon-to-be great memories for the entire family.

The best way to see his enthusiasm about foosball is to visit his blog called the Foosball Zone. Depending on the wood you choose, a hardwood floor may cost you from $3 to $12 per square foot. This option is on the pricier side, but you can save some money if you go with engineered wood.

Still, the cost of the floor adds to the cost of professional installation. However, once done, hardwood floors are beautiful and have a great resale value. They are easy to clean and often need no more than vacuuming. They are best used in display areas such is the living room, which doesn’t see too much traffic, so the floor will retain its finish for a long time.

The softness of cork floor

With a price ranging from $2 to $8 per square foot, cork floors are a more affordable option than hardwood. On top of that, cork is a great insulator: warm, soft and absorbs sounds. Many homeowners who turn to sustainable living consider cork an ideal green material, as only the bark of the oak is harvested.

Cork is also valued for its antimicrobial and anti-mold properties, which makes it highly suitable for kids’ bedrooms. On the other hand, since it’s a natural material, cork is known to fade in direct sunlight and change its color to yellow in time. In addition, due to its soft and mouldable nature, it may get damaged under furniture pressure points.

Affordable and tough laminate

While you’ll also have to pay for the installation, laminate floors are on the more affordable end of the flooring spectrum. Homeowners looking for a quick and inexpensive solution often resort to laminate due to its resemblance to real wood or tile, as well as its resistance to scratches. Just like hardwood floors, laminates are easy to clean, even with inexpensive and natural homemade cleaners.

On top of that, the laminate is pet-friendly as it’s difficult to scratch and stain. It’s great for high-traffic areas such as foyers, gaming rooms, and the dining room. On the other hand, its main drawback is its weakness to standing water. Even a refrigerator leak can make it necessary to replace the floor in the kitchen – that’s why it isn’t recommended for kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry.

Sound of vinyl floor

A couple of hundred dollars for installation won’t break your renovation budget, even if you choose high-end vinyl for $4 or $5 per square foot. Like cork and carpet, vinyl muffles sounds and it’s easy on your feet. On top of that, it’s a great choice for areas that tend to get wet, like kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms (where it can dampen the sound of the washing machine as well).

However, although manufacturers have gone to great lengths to make it look like wood or tile, it’s still a far cry from the real thing. Vinyl dents and tears easily, and its microstructure may sometimes make it challenging to clean.

Probably the material with the greatest price range, tiles can vary from $1 to $20 and more per square foot, while the installation is on par with vinyl, depending on the room size. Due to a list of good properties, such as durability, resistance to scratching and water, as well as ease of cleaning, glazed ceramic tiles are perfect for both high traffic areas and rooms where liquid spills are relatively common.

They are homeowners’ choice for foyers, mudrooms, kitchens, bathrooms as well as dining areas. Tiles also cater to a variety of interior styles as they come in a variety of materials like marble, granite, porcelain, travertine, and slate. On the downside, tiles can be very loud when it comes to foot traffic and echoes. They can also be cold on the feet, requiring expensive underfloor heating.

Cozy carpet floor

Carpet is another material with a very wide price range. Although some deals go up to $50, you can also find regular carpet and padding between $2 and $5 per square foot. Nevertheless, with carpets, it’s not only the design but also the quality that determines the price.

Aside from feeling soft, a carpet also makes the room look soft. It muffles the walking sounds and dampens echoes. Since it needs only padding underneath, it’s a quick and cheap option, even for rooms with uneven floors. However, since its fiber can easily trap dirt, it is best used in low traffic areas such as bedrooms which always benefit from additional coziness.

Handy area rugs

Outstandingly versatile, a large area rug can pose as an interim solution when you have removed your worn-out or damaged floor, and the subflooring is your only layer. Until you make up your mind, a beautiful jute rug will draw all the focus to the intricate pattern of its natural fibers, away from the unsightly substrate.

In this case, however, make sure you make up your mind quickly, as the subflooring is not meant for walking upon. In other cases, area rugs are often used in tandem with hard surface floorings, such as hardwood, laminate or vinyl. Apart from breaking the room into different sections, they protect the flooring from heavy furniture and foot traffic as well.

Old, weathered bricks

They can be salvaged from a demolition site, cleaned up, and sealed against water damage. Alternatively, you can buy brick pavers that are thinner than regular bricks and more suitable for flooring purposes. Depending on the specific material you choose, they can cost between $5 and $10 per square foot. If properly maintained, these natural, fireproof materials can last for decades.

However, they will wear slightly with the passing of time, giving your floor an authentic weathered look, which some people love so much. As an eco-friendly material, bricks layer well with natural fibers. The brick floor is one of the interior designers’ favorites as it lends itself to a number of popular styles.

Paper and concrete project

Paper and concrete project

Also known as paper bag floor, this option is basically an inexpensive upgrade to an existing concrete surface. The best part is that it can be a DIY project that actually looks pretty good. You need a large roll of contractor’s paper or paper grocery bags, multipurpose liquid glue, floor-grade polyurethane, and a large bucket for mixing.

Tear or cut the paper into large pieces and dip each one in the 50/50 glue and water mixture until saturated, then lay it into place on the floor. You can crumble each piece for a mottled look. After you cover the whole floor, let it dry for 24 hours and roll on the polyurethane as a protective coat. The cost of this floor is about 60-70 cents per square foot.

On top of being extremely cheap, salvaged materials can be surprisingly stylish. People have created their own flooring using spare change, wine corks, or bottle caps. While flooring professionals most likely won’t be happy to work with salvaged materials, you can probably find someone who’s done it or is simply skilled in DIY projects.
